Westfield has announced the return of a pop-up music venue called Music Cube, with the performance space hosting various acts at the the group’s Stratford and West London shopping centres. The Cube, which is amplified by brand partners Sennheiser, Infiniti and Kiss FM, will appear at Stratford in East London 28-31 August and Westfield London near Shepherd’s Bush and White City from 6-8 November.
The 4.75m-high, 5.98m-wide space is large enough to house a performing band, while shoppers outside it can listen to an act using Sennheiser wireless headphones. Bass frequencies will be augmented through an ‘air blast’ vibrating floor.
Westfield has published a YouTube video capturing last year’s Music Cube showing what it’s all about.
Fione Kyle, Westfield UK & US’s general manager of events and entertainment, said: “Last year Music Cube tickets were snapped up within hours, giving lucky fans a chance to connect with artists, sound and bass like never before.
“For those who can’t make it down to Westfield, look out for performances being streamed free online.”
Gemma Robinson, Sennheiser’s strategic collaborations manager EMEA, added: “We are very excited to be part of the Music Cube for the second year running. With music being an integral part of this innovative event, we want to give consumers the best sound experience possible.”
