They are the UK’s largest insurer and one of the world’s leading providers of life and general insurance.The global nature of Aviva’s business means they require a reliable technology partner with worldwide reach that will enable different divisions of the organisation to communicate in a secure and cost effective manner. Over the last six years, Streaming Tank have been working closely with Aviva’s own internal marketing and IT department, as well as their preferred event and production suppliers, to create a technology and delivery platform based around their needs and planned future use.
There have been many! In terms of external communications with customers, Aviva needs to be seen to be actively communicating with their audience. Live webcasting is ideal for this as it not only gives the audience a target time to tune into (although it always goes on-demand after the event), it also enables the audience to engage in discussions with live Q&A and commenting.
Streaming Tank consulted with the client to understand the priorities and requirements, then designed and built a bespoke portal to serve as an online event space through which to broadcast live all major internal comms events and announcements, and shareholder engagement events such as interim reports and customer advice. The site was wrapped in a secure login facility to protect security concerns, and players facilitated slide display and a question submission feature.
Streaming Tank production partners, Production Bureau, are onsite to film the events, with Streaming Tank engineers at location to hardware encode the the feed, ensure stable connectivity, and delivery to the end user (in multiple feed qualities and via smartphones).
On-demand versions of presentations, edits of interviews with key management, and highlights of each day are also uploaded onto the website – to ensure viewers in different timezones can access the content and to make the site richer in terms of content.
