Hosting

Websites

Online video delivery can add substantially more strain to a website server than normal site hosting, restricting performance. This is either a result of a website server not being able to deliver on-demand content in a stable manner, or down to increased numbers of viewers visiting a website to view live content.

To cope with the additional demand, the Streaming Tank delivery platforms are produced to be very light weight, to make your online live event run smoothly in the online environment.  Our WebTV and MicroTV platforms are based on HTML and XML languages to ensure complete flexibility but still maintaining optimum delivery speed.

Assets

For campaigns or events expecting 100,000+ viewers all assets are delivered through a network of over 20,000 edge servers to cope with the largest traffic demands.

When clients require players to be embedded on their own sites, Streaming Tank pull the assets from our global network of servers and the video is pulled from the Content Delivery Networks.  Nether the embedded player or the video produce any strain on the clients servers.

Video

To deliver video content online, encoded video content has to be stored on a server, assesible by the internet. When a video file is requested by an end user (i.e the viewer click's play on a video within a website), how quickly the video starts and how smoothly the video plays back, is largely dependent on the server used to store the content.

Stuttering in video playback can be caused by bottleknecks between the video storage server and CDN.

To avoid such issues, Streaming Tank load balance the storage and delivery of video content through staging servers based globally.
