Streaming Tank, Webcasting the Green Way
Streaming Tank, the multi award winning streaming company produce top-notch webcasts with a range of applications. They are keen to help reduce their carbon footprint and their webcasts do just that.
We all know that live webcasting is not a carbon free process but when compared to the alternative, it shapes up pretty well.
The carbon footprint created by each person attending a live event could be significantly reduced if they watched it via a live webcast. This may seem unlikely but consider how much energy an actual attendee would produce when compared against the viewer.
Watching a live event via a webcast produces just under four tonnes less co2 than attending the event in person. Even if we do not have to travel far to visit a live event therefore removing a lot of the travel related co2 production, webcasting still has the lead, producing a smaller carbon footprint.
James Wilkinson, Managing Director of Streaming Tank said;
“It is good to see that the service we provide can help reduce carbon emissions while at the same time delivering excellent quality webcasting that is hard to beat.”
James Wilkinson further commented;
“Nothing compares to the thrill of attending a live event but it is clear that those of us that view from the comfort of our homes are helping to reduce carbon emissions and help the environment.”
