The last 18 months has seen Streaming Tank work with the some of the biggest names in Global industry

Despite the doom and gloom many politicians and industrial commentators have been laying on thick through the most recent of our economic downturns, one company is making sure it fights the corner for British industry around the world and at home by bucking this supposed trend.

Streaming Tank is a media streaming company who specialises in live event streaming, on demand TV, Video production and project consultancy, and they have just had a fantastic 18 months up to the end of 2011.  Working with big name global companies such as Google, Stella Artois, Coca Cola and many more, Streaming Tank has been at the forefront of British innovation on a global scale, winning countless major industry awards and even breaking a world record along the way.

To highlight all their achievements from the last year or so would take far too much room, so below I have put a selection of their finest achievements, in no particular order.  If you would like to see a more visual example of the kind of work they have done in the last year then follow this link to view Streaming Tank’s 2011 show reel.

Google Think Mobile Live Stream & YouTube Live: Preferred live streaming provider

Streaming Tank was asked to live stream the Google Think Mobile events, with the first event taking place from Kings Place in Central London and involved key speakers discussing the future of the global mobile industry.

The success of the event through its online audience, viewing on the YouTube live streaming platform, the Brand Republic website and mobile devices such as iOS (iPhone or iPad) or Android obviously impressed Google as Streaming Tank were soon asked to work as a preferred live streaming provider on their increasingly popular YouTube Live service.

Coca-Cola and Maroon 5

Streaming Tank worked with Coca-Cola and musicians Maroon 5 to live stream a 24hr recording session from a studio in London.  The premise was simple; produce a single from start to finish with help from fans around the world watching live on Facebook.

The event was a huge hit with subsequent statistics showing 54,000 Facebook comments/likes, 107 million trend impressions of the promoted Tweet trend #WithMaroon5 and 31,000 mentions of #WithMaroon5.  On top of all this there was a 187% increase in average daily growth for users following @cocacola.

Coca-Cola was so impressed with the success of the event that they used Streaming Tanks’ services again soon afterwards to live stream their 125th anniversary concert celebrations from outside their head office in Atlanta, USA.

Ballantine’s Human API

This was a series of on-going live streaming events as part of Ballantine’s ‘Leave an Impression’ marketing campaign and consisted of a Tattoo artist named K.A.R.L producing the world’s first animated tattoo, an Ice Sculptor called J.A.M.I.E producing an ice robot puppet and a Graffiti artist named 45.R.P.M creating an animated graffiti wall.

All these events were done live as a human API, allowing users on Facebook to influence the design and creative process through interactions with the individual artists.  This campaign proved to be a massive success, capturing the imagination of Ballantine’s Facebook followers, with the Human API Tattoo video already receiving well over 1million hits on YouTube alone.

Starbucks Love Project for the charity (RED)

World Record Breaking Live Streaming from 156 Countries

Streaming Tank was approached by BBDO in New York and Gorgeous Productions in London with a challenge – to unite the world with one voice, and at the same time, to raise money and awareness of those dying from AIDS in Africa.

Streaming Tank rose to the challenge by using advanced streaming technology to live video stream choirs and singers from 156 countries, across 80 languages and in nearly every time zone.
The event was broadcast live across the web and the technical achievement not only created many world firsts, but was also entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.

The video topped the Interbrand 20 Top Viral Video chart with more than 1.9 million views on YouTube. More importantly though, the project had a real impact on people’s lives, as the Starbucks (RED) ‘Love Project’ raised enough money to provide over 7 million days of medicine for people living with HIV in Africa.

As mentioned above, to highlight all the big projects Streaming Tank has worked on this year would take a long time, but other projects worth mentioning include live streaming for Telecommunication giants O2, the BAFTA and Mercury Music Prize nominations, the Sonisphere Festival, working with Top Shop on the London Fashion Week and Powerplay Golf’s inaugural tournament to name just a few.

Streaming Tank has also made the foray into popular culture too, live streaming from the V festival, streaming interviews with both X Factor contestants and Strictly Come Dancing’s Brendan Cole as well as winning the award for ‘Best Live Event’ at the BT Digital Music Awards for their work with Maroon 5 as highlighted above.
