Streaming Tank will need to find a good supplier of polish as they win 4 major industry awards

Live video streaming specialists, Streaming Tank, are celebrating after winning four separate industry awards between two different ceremonies all in the space of one day.

Friday the 24th September 2010 will forever live in the folklore of Streaming Tank company history as they emerged the resounding winners in an extremely competitive media industry, which rewards creativity and innovation, as sometimes this is the only way to stay noticed within the tidal wave of the advertising, media and event industry.

The first ceremony was in the afternoon, the International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) Clarion awards, where they won the Charity and Social Enterprise awards in two categories, ‘Best Viral’ and ‘Best Live Event’ for their outstanding Starbucks Love project.

The Starbucks love project was an event staged earlier this year for the charity RED as an effort to promote awareness for AIDS in Africa, in partnership with London production company ‘Gorgeous’ and lead agency ‘BBDO New York’.

It saw groups of people in 156 countries simultaneously sing the Beatles classic ‘All you need is love’ and was not only a resounding success, but also earned Streaming Tank a world record too.

The project was deemed by the IVCA Clarion Awards organisers as being so innovative and groundbreaking that they broke with tradition and awarded two versions of their top accolade ‘The IVCA Chairman’s Award’ to both Streaming Tank and The drpgroup.

IVCA Chief Executive Marco Forgione explained:

‘For the first time we have awarded two IVCA Chairman’s Awards as we felt that both campaigns were truly innovative and successful in raising awareness of the issues they were aiming to highlight. In addition they each demonstrated real beneficial outcomes for the communities and people involved.’

But, of course as mentioned above, we know that this is not the end of their story for the day – The delighted staff from Streaming Tank then readied themselves for more glory in the evening, as the ‘Event Awards 2010’ were ready and waiting for them at the Roundhouse in Camden.

On this occasion they were just up for the one award, ‘The Event Industry Supplier of the Year’, but considering this was ‘The Event Awards’ it was a good one to win, and I guess we should not be surprised that they did, against some very stiff opposition as you would expect for one of the evenings showpiece awards.

So, after a wonderful day at the end of September in 2010, the hardworking staff at Streaming Tank will look back fondly and try to remember how many glasses of champagne they drank as celebration, although I have a sneaking suspicion that for a company well and truly on the up, they will need to make space in their diaries for many more days like this in the future.
