Streaming Tank prove being ‘Creative’ gets you recognised in all the right places.
It looks like multi award winning Live Video Streaming specialists Streaming Tank may need to add another shelf to their trophy cabinet, as once again they have been shortlisted for yet another industry award, the Event Awards taking place at the iconic ‘Roundhouse’, London on 24th September 2010.
Streaming Tank, through their parent company of Creative Tank, are already proud to have won a string of nominations and awards for the innovative work they do within the video streaming and creative media industries over recent years, and that trend does not appear to be letting up anytime soon.
Most notably they have won both the Broadcast Magazine’s Digital channel award – Best use of Broadband (going up against the likes of Sky, BBC, Channel 4 and MTV), and the 2010 NMA Magazine Effectiveness award – Best Use of Web (again beating heavyweights like the BBC, Channel 4 and Five).
All of this of course is on top of an array of other nominations this year which includes The NMA Awards 2010 (Best use of Viral, Best Voluntary Sector), the Broadcast Digital Channel Awards (Best use of Interactive) and the Streaming Media European Awards 2010 (Best Live Event, Best End to End Streaming Provider).
As well as all the above awards and nominations, which James Wilkinson; Director at Streaming Tank assures me are ‘a very proud achievement’, they have also been the focus of other recognition recently both inside and outside their core sphere of work.
In an interesting article by Media Week entitled ‘The New Facebooks’, Streaming Tank were named as one of the top 10 internet based businesses to look out for in the next 3 years. This comes shortly after their co-founder Chris Dabbs found himself being chosen as part of the 11 members in this years 2010 Streaming Media dream team, a great honour indeed.
So just what do the two founders of Creative Tank and Streaming Tank think of this long running attention?
James Wilkinson made this comment;
‘…Obviously it is a great honour whenever one is recognised by your peers and other important figures within your industry, but the thing that makes me most proud is that we are being recognised not just for what we have achieved, especially in our specialist area of live video streaming, but also for the ideas we are trying to push forward with…our innovation if you like.’
To which Chris then followed up with;
‘James I think has put it perfectly, and as much as being recognised individually is nice for me, we have a very dedicated and experienced team here and each person adds their own qualities and motivation to our projects.’
So, when the night of the 24th September finally comes around, whether or not Streaming Tank are sharing the stage of The Roundhouse with the other winners, and one of the Event Awards grasped firmly in their hands, one thing is for certain; by leading the way with Live Video Streaming it is certainly not the last time they will have the opportunity to don their dinner suits for an industry awards bash.
