Streaming Tank on show at London Fashion Week
Live video streaming specialists Streaming Tank have once again been contracted by the British Fashion Council to live video stream 26 designer shows from the official BFC Show Space at London Fashion Week, live and online.
Earlier this year, the British Fashion Council launched a Digital Schedule initiative, intended to fuse fashion and film over a digital platform. Streaming Tank was brought in to implement the technology that enabled London Fashion Week to open its doors to an online global audience. The success of this initiative, piloted in February, resulted in Streaming Tank being chosen once again to work alongside the British Fashion Council to offer the world an online front row seat at London Fashion Week in September.
Streaming Tank are not only broadcasting 26 catwalk shows live over 6 days from the BFC Show Space at Somerset House, but also integrating live content from additional venues and shows around London into the live broadcast.
Chris Dabbs, Group Account Director at Streaming Tank commented,
“This is such an exciting event for Streaming Tank to be involved in again. It’s a crazy week for everyone involved, but it is a privilege to be working with the British Fashion Council once more, and building on the live streaming success of AW10”.
The integration of additional external catwalk shows into the live broadcast will enable a worldwide audience to follow even more of what British fashion has to offer. Streaming Tank will also be working closely with additional distributors and British Fashion Council partners to distribute the live content to 3rd party publishers and media partners.
Streaming Tank’s team are no strangers to coordinating live streams on a global scale. Recent projects have been awarded a number of world records and accolades for innovation, primarily for one of the most complex live video streaming projects ever undertaken, the Starbucks Love Project, which involved broadcasting simultaneous live streams from 156 countries.
Their dedication and commitment to accelerating the potential and possibility of live streaming technology has not gone unnoticed, having picked up a number of awards and nominations for their work and innovation along the way.
This September, the eyes of the fashion world will once again be focused on London, as one of the leading global fashion weeks continues to establish itself at the forefront of fashion innovation and creativity.
The shows will be streamed live from Friday 17th to Wednesday 22nd September, and can be viewed at www.londonfashionweeklive.co.uk.
