Streaming Tank is shortlisted for another IVCA award

Streaming Tank has been shortlisted to win yet another award by the International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) for their record breaking ‘Starbucks Love Project’, an event which Streaming Tank completed in December 2009 and went on to receive many accolades and huge praise for.

Streaming Tank has already featured heavily in the eyes of the IVCA, winning 3 awards at their IVCA Clarion awards in September 2010, for ‘Best Viral’, ‘Best Live Event’ and the prestigious ‘Chaiman’s Award’, all for the ‘Starbucks Love Project’.  Streaming Tank then followed this up, again with the IVCA, by winning a further 3 awards at the LiveCom ceremony in December.

In Total Streaming Tank has won an incredible 10 awards in the last year alone, and are also nominated for two awards at the upcoming Revolution Awards 2011 and a separate award nomination at the MediaGuardian Innovation Awards, on top of this most recent IVCA nomination.

If you are not familiar with the ‘Starbucks Love Project’, then the premise of the event is quite simple; Streaming Tank, along with lead agency BBDO in New York, on behalf of Starbucks and the charity RED, assembled singers around the World to simultaneously perform the Beatle’s hit ‘All you need is love’, live and online.

The event itself was designed to raise awareness about AIDS in Africa and helped generate enough money to buy more than 7 million days of medicine for people living with HIV in Africa.  On a slightly less profound level, but equally an achievement in itself, the project also saw Streaming Tank enter into the Guinness World Records™ for “Most Nations in an Online Sing-a-long”.  The music video also topped the Top 20 viral Videos chart and has since been viewed nearly 2 million times on YouTube.

The 2011 IVCA awards will be taking place on 25th March at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and are the largest and most prestigious corporate communication awards.  The IVCA is the independent, not for profit, membership organisation representing the creators and commissioners of film, video, digital and live events for the corporate and public sectors.
