Streaming Tank is proud to be part of a new project enhancing sustainable farming around the world

Streaming Tank is helping to promote safe and sustainable farming practices around the world with a new innovative website called Access Agriculture, in association with Agro-Insight and Countrywise Communication – Two of the leading organisations helping to communicate agricultural practices to farmers through Science and low cost media production in remote parts of the world.

The new website is a resource centre which allows users to share practical training videos in both international and local languages and features the opportunity to view the content through a variety of different means including live streaming, on-demand video, downloads or even local delivery via VCD or DVD.

The site is also broken down into several easy to navigate sections which focus on core agricultural subjects, such as Arable Farming, Livestock, Fishing, Business Skills and Soil or Water Conservation.

As an example, one of the videos already uploaded is in the Arable section and concerns Rice Seed Sorting and explains how to ensure only the best rice seeds are being used for cultivation thus avoiding disease in the crop.  The video is available in 6 local dialects plus English and French.

Other plans for the site include the development of a facility for audio files which can be downloaded by radio stations, spreading good farming practices even further into the areas of the world which are least accessible but where the information is all the more valuable.

Agro-Insight, one of the collaborators on the new website, work closely with their clients to enhance their impact on rural communities through reflective research and effective video, radio and print material production, so for them this new resource is a massive boost to their overall vision of contributing to more sustainable agriculture and trade by enhancing reflection and learning among farmers.
