Streaming Tank help Coca-Cola say ‘Thank You’ while celebrating 125 years
Drinks giant Coca-Cola, one of the world’s biggest brands, recently celebrated their 125th anniversary, and in typical celebratory style decided to host a party, where the whole world was invited.
The ‘party’ was in the form of a live concert held in Atlanta’s centennial Olympic Park, right next to the Coca-Cola world headquarters, hosted by Ryan Seacrest with acts including Natasha Bedingfield, R&B artist Ne-Yo and Kelly Clarkson. This was their way of saying ‘Thank You’ to everyone who had ever bought one of their drinks, but for obvious reasons the park was unsuitable for literally hosting millions of people.
This is where Coca-Cola once again turned to the expertise of live streaming specialists Streaming Tank. Coca-Cola worked with Streaming Tank on an earlier project where the band Maroon 5 broadcast a 24hr live stream, while interacting with fans worldwide to write and record a new song, from the Metropolis Studios in London. Their new track ‘Is anybody out there’ can be downloaded free from the Coca-Cola website.
Streaming Tank worked closely with Coca-Cola on the 125th Anniversary concert as a great deal of pre-event management was required. During the event the live stream needed to be sent to all target locations on all platforms, including high quality flash and iOS (iPhone and iPad) streaming.
Needless to say there was a lot of work involved in the staging and streaming of this event, and it was one of Streaming Tank’s most challenging projects to date, but the results were more than worthwhile as it proved to be a huge success with a massive audience in 135 countries. This historic event was streamed live without a hitch to the main Coca-Cola website, Facebook, You Tube, as well as iPad and iPhone devices.
