Streaming Tank cover the ‘live’ video streaming of the BAFTA award nominations
Streaming Tank, well known within the media streaming industry as a leading live video streaming company, made an inevitable venture into the world of cinema this January with the live broadcast and subsequent video streaming of the BAFTA award nominations announcement 2011.
The nominations announcement for the 2011 Orange British Academy Awards took place at BAFTA’s headquarters in Piccadilly, London, on 18th January, with the initial introduction by Academy chairman Tim Corrie before actor Dominic Cooper and Actress Talulah Riley took over and announced the actual nominees.
This is an exciting time in the world of cinema, as it comes hot on the heels of the Golden Globes, and comes before the Academy Awards in America, often giving a good pointer to those in the running to win big at the Oscars.
The British Academy Awards have gained many plaudits over the last few years since they decided to split from the previously shared BAFTA TV awards, and the separation of the 2 mediums appears to have paid dividends, as many top Hollywood actors and actresses regularly attend the awards night, which will be held on Sunday 13th February.
The announcement, streamed live on the internet, revealed several British nominations taking their place amongst the greats of the recent cinematic world, including the Danny Boyle film ‘127 hours’, ‘The Kings Speech’ starring Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter (both up for awards themselves) and the quintessentially British film based around a Ford motors cars assembly plant ‘Made in Dagenham’, which has received many great reviews.
