Streaming Tank are highly commended in the recent Revolution Awards

Live video streaming specialist Streaming Tank has narrowly missed out on adding yet more awards to their already bulging trophy cabinet at the prestigious 2011 Revolution Awards this April, but were however highly commended in both the categories they were nominated in.

Streaming Tank has been no stranger to award ceremonies over the last year, and more often than not have taken away the main prize itself, so the shock is certainly not that their hard work has received such high commendation, but that they did not win either of the two awards they were in contention for.

Having said that, there was a lot of good work recently in the two categories they were nominated; ‘Best Viral’ and ‘Not for Profit, Charity or Public Service’, with each category eventually being won by Seventy Seven PR & Fishburn hedges (For ‘Nintendo Flips Out’ with Oscar winning company Aardman) and Publicis (ihobo for Depaul UK) respectively, so the competition was quite obviously strong.

To also put the accolade further into perspective, not every category had projects which were listed as highly commended, so to have that honour bestowed upon any company at the Revolution Awards more than once can be considered an achievement in itself.

Streaming Tank could also argue that is it because they have raised the bar so highly over the past year that other agencies have needed to work that little bit harder to achieve the same amount of recognition they have enjoyed, winning over 10 awards in the last 12 months alone, with the most recent being at the 2011 IVCA Awards in March.

During that ceremony they won the coveted IVCA Awards for ‘International Event of the Year’ and ‘Industry Award for Effectiveness’, both for their much lauded ‘Starbucks Love Project’, an event which involved performers from around the World simultaneously singing the hit Beatle’s song ‘All you need is love, live and on-line.

On this occasion, Streaming Tank must simply accept that however good you are, you cannot win every award, every time. However, this will not stop their hard working team from trying to achieve the perfection and popularity they have always looked for in the past, with all of the projects they consequently work on in the future.
