Bringing Shareholders Together with Live Video Streaming
The UK’s leading live video streaming company Streaming Tank have once again made it possible for thousands of shareholders to ‘attend’ Nycomed Pharmaceutical’s Annual General Meeting. Hosted at the Mayfair Hotel, the event was broadcast via a live video stream over the internet, allowing shareholders around the world to log in and participate.
This AGM, although available around the world, was broadcast via a secure video stream, which meant only those invited to view the proceedings could do so. Another unique feature of this broadcast meant those ‘attending’ the AGM online were also able to ask questions via the internet in real time to the Board of Directors.
James Wilkinson, Managing Director of Streaming Tank said:
“We were brought in by Key Audio Visual to provide both a live video stream and an on demand video stream of the event. This allowed their shareholders to view and participate in the event as it happened or to view the proceedings retrospectively, which ever was most convenient for the end user.”
This trend of live event streaming is likely to become more and more popular as it’s not always convenient for all interested parties to attend meetings such as Nycomed’s recent AGM. Not only does broadcasting the event via a live video stream on their own website allow far more interested parties to view the proceedings, but being logged into a secure section of the Nycomed website allowed all the remote attendees to actively participate in the proceedings.
James Wilkinson further commented;
“The benefits of streaming events such as this are endless. The location of the event and the capacity of the venue is no longer and issue, as those who live in another country can still attend, without the need of getting on a plane and booking a hotel room. An audience which could fill the 02 Arena can also attend and participate without the need for hosting the event in such a large venue.”
