3 is the number for another magical day in the life of Streaming Tank

Streaming Tank, now widely regarded within the media streaming industry as one of the best live video streaming and event specialists, have once again proved triumphant at a major awards ceremony, picking up all 3 awards in the categories they were in contention for.

The IVCA LiveCom Awards have been developed by the International Visual Communications Association, in partnership with UK trade and investment, to promote excellence in live and experiential communications. The IVCA are Europe’s largest professional body for business and public sector communications, so their award ceremonies are a highlight of the annual awards calendar.

The presentation ceremony, which took place on the 9th December 2010 at ‘The Brewery’ in London, consisted of nominees spread across a total of 16 categories, split into two different sections; ‘UK Events – created for audiences in the UK’ and ‘International Events – created for audiences outside the UK’.

Streaming Tank found themselves unusually nominated for awards in both main categories due to the nature of the event they were being considered for, which was their biggest project of the year,  the now famous ‘Starbucks Love Project’ for the charity ‘RED’, which was staged to raise awareness of Aids in Africa, both in the UK and around the world.

Beating some of the best names in the business, including The drpgroup (one of the main sponsors), Event Marketing Solutions Ltd, Edcoms Ltd and the Virgin Atlantic In-house design team, they took away the awards for ‘Best International Campaign’, ‘Best UK Campaign’ and the ‘Award for Innovation’.

This all comes at the end of an extremely successful year for Streaming Tank.  Although it is true they produced an exceptional event with the ‘Starbucks Love Project’, they were also at the cutting edge of some other events, which in themselves deserve equal recognition, some of which were also industry firsts.

The Live Video Streaming of the London Fashion week for example, both in February and September, has to be a highlight in the media streaming calendar, as this has not even been done by Paris, New York or Milan yet.  Other highlights include live streaming on the net and mobile of a special Rihanna concert set up on behalf of Nokia, and the ‘EA Games – Wardens Quest’ a 24 hr gaming event streamed live from County Hall in London, amongst many others.

The hardworking staff at Streaming Tank can look back at 2010 with satisfaction that their efforts, at least in some cases, now have the proof of well deserved recognition.  These latest three awards bring the total number, for just this year alone, sitting in their trophy cabinet up to a staggering nine in total. This of course does not even include all the other nominations where they narrowly missed out.

I’m sure with the innovation they have shown over their successful 7 years in business, added to the confidence they are currently feeling and the impetus they now have, then they will need to make plenty of more room in that cabinet for the coming year ahead.
