Download Festival (Live Nation)
Project Objective
The Download Festival (Monsters of Rock) is one of the UK's biggest events in the festival calender. This huge festival, run by Live Nation, was streamed live to a glboal audience of rock addicts.
Solution
Streaming Tank encoded over 12 hours of live content each day, managing multiple encoders running multiple streams. The content was embedded into the Live Nation 'Download Festival' homepage and was free to view.
Some bands opted not to be broadcast live and online, which meant that Streaming Tank had to devise a method of controling the live content manually and on site.
Result
The 3 day live broadcast enabled over 1.5 million heavy rock fans the opportunity to watch their favourite bands perform live and online.
