In June 2007,
Live Nation pulled in the resources of Streaming Tank to Live Webcast all
three days of the Download Festival - the worlds leading Rock and Metal
Festival. Streaming Tank managed the encoding and satellite communication
for the stream, broadcasting live footage for 12 hours on each day.
The streaming
project was spectacularly successful with the site receiving hundreds of
thousands of hits over the event, with blog sites full of congratulations to
Live Nation with many viewers deciding to go to the festival in 2008.
